How to order your footprint jewellery

Please read carefully before you place your order

• Choose what length necklace / bracelet you would like.
  • Please note that it is important you make sure that you choose the right length. If you choose the wrong length, Allison can change your chain, but you will need to return the original one to her via Special Delivery including a £5 cheque to cover the cost of Special Delivery to send the new one to you.

• If applicable to the piece you are ordering, choose what colour crystal / bead you would like.
  • Allison will choose crystals / beads that best suit your piece once you have chosen the colour / birthstone month. Birthstone crystals represent the colour of the birthmonth, so for example a September crystal will be the colour of sapphire, not an actual sapphire.

• Type in the name / date that you would like on the front of your charm.

• Type in the wording you would like on the back of your charm.
  • Please also note that only limited text is available on the charms for necklaces and bracelets. You may have seen the necklace with "too beautiful for earth" on the back. Allison can not fit many more letters than this on the back of a charm and for smaller different shaped charms there will be even less space. You can always send us a quick mail first if you have something in mind, but are unsure.

• Font. 
  • All wording will be done in a lower case font. Allison uses little letter stamps that are completely unique to her and upper case is not available. You can see examples of the font used throughout all of jewellery shown. Please only place an order if you are happy with this font and the use of lower case letters only, but don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

• Choose what prints you would like on your charm.
  • You will find indications on each piece's description of what Allison is able to fit onto the different charms. Allison is very experienced in working with prints taken by the hospital. If you are unsure as to whether Allison will be able to use your prints, you are very welcome to check with us first. Please send your image to allison@pastelprint.co.uk or read below for further help.
    

• Choose if you would like a tiny tag added to your jewellery.
  • These are quite tiny, but can fit extra little messages such as "too mummy", "my daddy", "an angels mummy". Space is fairly limited though & Allison can not fit many more letters than this on. Feel free to check with us first if you have something special in mind. You can let us know what you would like on your tiny tag by typing your message in the "other information / special requests" section.

• Other Information / Special requests.
  • This section is for you to let us know the colour or month of any crystals / beads you have ordered and also the wording for any tiny tags.
  • Also, please let us know if you have ordered from Allison before, either through Alexandra's Angel Gifts or through PastelPrint & would like the same prints used, as this may speed up your order.
    

• Once you have placed your order please send a scanned image of your baby's prints. Please read below for help or different ways to send us your baby's prints.

  We never ever ask for the original prints for your baby, as these are just far too precious to send.

• If you have access to a scanner (either yourself, via  friend or even using a camera shop like Jessops maybe), then a scanned image works really well that can then be emailed to us. Please ensure that the settings on the scanner are set to a resolution of at least 300dpi.

• Alternatively a really clear digital photo taken of the prints is also fine. Please make sure that you use the macro setting on your digital camera to get the best possible image as this setting is for close up detailed images. You may need to have a read through your camera instructions, but this setting is normally shown with a flower like the image below. Again, once you have a clear digital photo, then this can be emailed to us:

• Another option if neither of the above are possible is to send Allison in the post a really clear photocopy of your baby's prints. If you'd like to do this, then please contact us and we'll send you address details of where to send to.

Please remember to send us your order number along with your image. You can either email your image directly to Allison at allison@pastelprint.co.uk or upload your image via our contact form by clicking here.
