Personal use, specifically for headstones, tattoos, service cards for funerals is of course absolutely fine.
Use on personal memorial websites, signatures on forums etc is again of course fine, so long as you just pop my name in small letters as the author beneath the quote or poem (Lisa Clarke) simply to protect my copyright.
For those who have lost a very precious child, I am truly honoured that you like the poems / quotes that I have written in memory of our daughter and that they have been meaningful for you in memory of your baby / babies too and am even more honoured to share these verses with you for personal use x

***Since writing this in March 2009, this quote has been extremely popular and has been used by many for personal things such as tattoos, personal memorial pages, headstones etc which I of course welcome and am proud of that it has brought so many comfort.
So popular in fact that it seems that this quote has been around for years! Please be assured that I would never put my name by anything I had not written myself, I am the author of this quote and it was not written until March 2009 in memory of my daughter & especially for some beautiful cards we had made using original artwork. It was inspired by another (different) footprint quote which may be why it seems familiar.
You will not find this quote elsewhere before March 2009 as it simply did not exist. If you do feel you have seen this quote before this, then we urge you to double check as you will certainly find the one you are thinking of is different.
