Boxes for Hospitals - Our Pledge

Our Boxes for Hospitals project is not a registered charity, which means we are not regulated, so we would like to list our promises to those who decide to donate, help out or fundraise for us.

• Our Boxes for Hospitals accounts will always be accesible to anyone who would like to see by clicking the link below. These accounts are regularly updated and so if you have made a personal donation, or have raised some funds for us, you will see this money coming in and will then see where money raised is spent:Click here for Boxes for Hospitals Accounts

• You are welcome to contact us at any time to question anything that is on this spreadsheet, or to request to see paperwork for any of our purchases we have made towards our project.

• We have kept the names of people who have made personal Paypal, cheque or cash donations confidential, but if you have made a donation you will see the date and amount of your donation on the spreadsheet. If you are unsure, or would like your name, or "in memory of" and then your baby's name put by the side of your donation on the spreadsheet then don't hesitate to contact us.

• If you hold a fundraising event in memory of your baby and decide to donate some of the money raised to us we will list the event name, or "in memory of" and your baby's name on the spreadsheet by the side of the amount raised, so you can clearly see your donation in the balance and thereafter where your kind donation has been spent.

• We do and will continue to donate an amount from most of the gifts we make ourselves (where we are able) at Alexandra's Angel Gifts towards our project and the amount rasied each month in this way is listed on the "Money In" sheet. We update these figures every 3 months.

• Any money donated towards our project will go purely towards materials to make these boxes and getting the boxes into the hospitals. No money will be charged for our time in doing this, as we do this for free in memory of our daughter. If we have a surplus of funds and the hospitals we support have enough boxes, we may from time to time upon request help out other similar projects around the UK, or other baby loss charities. For example, we may donate 20 candles to a project in another area to put inside the boxes for their hospital. You will clearly see these donations on the spreadsheet.

• You may see elsewhere that we also on occasion donate vouchers from Alexandra's Angel Gifts for prizes for a raffle or something similar to other boxes for hospitals projects around the UK to help them raise money. These donations are not taken from our own Boxes for Hospitals fund as you will see from the spreadsheet, but are separate donations from us personally.

• Finally, if for any reason the hospitals we work with no longer want our boxes (we hope this wont happen! but thought we better cover all bases with our pledge), then any materials we have left over or money raised will go to a similar project in the UK who are donating keepsake boxes for bereaved parents.
